Images from the Harrington family archives, primarily photos taken by Lynn Harrington (1915 - 1999) and me, his son, Sherwood. Postings to this blog will be photos taken on the date of the post (or on an unspecified date in the month of the post.) "PicShers" is an adjunct blog of "SherWords."

Cool! Was that part of your training-for-pitching program? I also recognize But We Love You, Charlie Brown on top of the book pile - nice gift haul!
WOW, Ruth! What a great catch! I had to drag out Dad's original and blow it up big-time to see the book with sufficient resolution to confirm its identity... you must really BE the Nickel Shrink!
And, yes, the primitive exercise thingy was part of Dad's efforts to get my arms up to pitcher-ready. I remember those damn' handles well -- each had indents for up to five springs. Note that there's only one active in the photo. FIVE?? Nah, never.
Hey, didn't you re-gift that to me twenty years later?
Where's all the wrapping paper?
Dad couldn't abide disarray -- wrapping paper got cleaned up right away after a gift was opened. And, yes, I know who that sounds like, and it's neither thee nor me.
