This is the back side of an old building that fronts on Mill Street in Birr. Mill Street is a backstreet on which the commercial laundry we used during our stay was located. On the Mill Street side is an unmarked metal door. Several times, while doing our laundry business back across the street, we saw people knock on the metal door, wait for a few seconds, pass money to the person who opened it, and walk away with a sack of potatoes.
Your guess is as good as mine.
